A customer needed to detect the prescence of a black plastic bottle.

More Control Solution Provided

More control specified Omrons new Fibre Amplifier E3XDA51S, a E32-CC200 diffuse fibre and a E39-F18 Lens. The high light output of the Amplifier enabled enough light to be received in the amplier even though the target was black in colour.

By using the E39-F18 lens to spot size of the fibre was reduced to 3mm diameter at a range of 20mm.
